CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


Our group fitness schedule features a wide variety of classes which give you the opportunity to address all components of fitness during the week. Our team is dedicated to instructing safe, fun and motivating classes, while supporting each participant in a socially oriented environment. Our instructors are certified fitness professionals who utilize a personal style based on education, movement and sport experience. We are committed to teach the group while focusing on the needs of the individual. We look forward to seeing you in our classes — either in-person or live stream!

BARRE

Fri: 5:30p
(In Studio and live stream)

Barre classes combine elements of Ballet and Pilates for high-intensity, low-impact, full-body strength training. Using minimal props and our body weight, barre classes focus on balance, flexibility, mobility, and strength. This class is a great workout that combines standing exercises, light weights and core work. Be prepared to sculpt, define and burn into a new you. The major benefits of barre are improved posture, muscle definition, increased flexibility and reduced stress. All fitness levels are welcome and modifications are provided throughout the class.
You may want to bring a pair of “grippy” socks to wear during class.
Not a dancer? No worries - Prior Ballet experience is not necessary!


BODYPUMP™

Research has confirmed that BODYPUMP™ has strong calorie and fat-burning effects and it improves aerobic fitness, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. There is also evidence that BODYPUMP™ classes can have positive psychological benefits. The secret to BODYPUMP™ is the Rep Effect - a breakthrough in resistance training that is proven to deliver a total body transformation. The Rep Effect throws traditional thinking about lifting heavy weights on its head. It exhausts muscles using light weights, while performing high repetitions. Using the Rep Effect, BODYPUMP™ classes give you sculpted shoulders, defined biceps and triceps, strong lean legs, firm glutes and a tight core. Choreography in each of these areas is specifically targeted so you will burn fat, burn more calories and achieve more meaningful fat loss and muscle fatigue. The end result is that you build strength without building bulk. In a typical BODYPUMP™ class you will perform between 800 and 1000 reps in a single group workout -- that is more than four times the amount a person typically achieves when training alone.

NOTE: BODYPUMP™ 101 is a NOT a prerequisite prior to attending your first BODYPUMP™ class. However, it is strongly recommended if you have not used a barbell or are not familiar with free-weight exercises like ‘Arnold Press’, ‘Biceps Row’, ‘Clean and Press’, ‘Dead Lifts’, ‘Mac Raise’, ‘Pullovers’, etc.


BODYBALANCE™

Ideal for anyone and everyone, LES MILLS BODYBALANCE ® is a new generation yoga class that will improve your mind, your body and your life. You can expect to bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves, elements of Tai Chi and Pilates while an inspiring soundtrack plays in the background. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises, and instructors will always provide options for those just getting started.

Join us in person with others for BODYBALANCE in The Studio! Kaycie is teaching LIVE from Nebraska, but is larger than life (literally) as we have her projected on a big screen.


BODYCOMBAT™

BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by mixed martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, Boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi, Capoeira, and Muay Thai. Experience the driving music and powerful role model instructors which make BODYCOMBAT™ the world’s most popular martial arts group fitness class. You will strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness during this ultimate warrior workout. Your BODYCOMBAT™ instructor will lead you through a series of moves from a range of martial arts, to a series of different music tracks. No equipment is needed for the class, just bring a towel, a water bottle and your inner warrior!


BODYSTEP™

Mon: 5:45p

Basic stepping, just like walking up and down stairs, is at the heart of BODYSTEP™ – a full-body cardio workout to really tone your butt and thighs. We play invigorating, hit music and inject a whole lot of fun and personality along the way. You can expect a mixture of upbeat, rhythmic stepping, with squat and lunge patterns to work the legs. Combine this with movements like burpees, push-ups and weight plate exercises, and the result is a fun, uplifting, full-body workout! Don’t worry, our instructors coach you through the workout safely and effectively, and there are plenty of options so everyone leaves feeling successful.

Light Aerobics/Sculpt

Mon/Fri: 9:15am (Light Aerobics)
Tu/Th: 8:00am (Light Sculpt)

These fun, non-competitive classes are targeted towards those who are looking for a slower paced format. Both classes can be modified for any fitness level. The Light Aerobics classes include segments of cardiovascular conditioning and a bit of strength training.

Light Sculpt includes 45-minutes of strength training and ends with a 10-minute stretch. We provide all the mats and equipment you may need. Work-out with your friends – the socializing is great and also an important component of over-all health and well-being!


PiYo Live!

(Available on our On-Demand platform)

What is PiYo Live?
It is not Pilates and it is not Yoga. This is a unique workout that draws inspiration from both Pilates and Yoga. Set to great music, it combines cardio and strength with moves that also help increase your flexibility, coordination, balance, and mobility. Instructors work closely with participants to modify exercises, showing progressions and regressions to challenge everyone. If you are looking for a high-intensity, low-impact class that is easy on joints, this is the perfect workout for you. Our PiYo Live! classes are appropriate for all fitness levels.


Strong Flow Yoga

Wed: 4:45 - 6:00p

This is a flow style of class that reliably guides you deeply into the postures following the natural rhythm of your breath. Unite the physical alignment details of Iyengar Yoga with the breathing and dynamic movement of Ashtanga Vinyasa and the emotional attentiveness of Kripalu Yoga.


weHIIT!

Fri. 4:30pm
(In Studio only)

we HIIT: “we High Intensity Interval Train!” This is metabolic training at its’ best. See MORE results in less time by doing high intensity intervals. The class includes intervals of varying times (20, 30 or 45 seconds) of intense work, followed by just 10-15 seconds of active recovery between stations. The entire circuit is repeated 2-3 times with one minute between rounds. A water bottle and the desire to push yourself are the only things you need to bring with you.
Battle ropes, dumbbells, Kettlebells, TRX® RIP and Suspension straps, punching bag, jump ropes, agility ladder, cones, steps, bike and BOSU, are just some of the ‘toys’ utilized during this class. Improve your aerobic and anaerobic capacity, as well as your muscular strength and endurance.


Zumba®

This is the Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music and contagious steps to form a "fitness party" that is downright addictive. You do not need to be a dancer to succeed in this class. Relax, lose your inhibitions and dance like no one is watching!


Zumba® Gold

Designed for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class, this recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity - and no jumping involved! The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
